    Superb

Easy location from coach stop. Central point for tourist attractions. Very helpful staff. Great bar and food.

The bedroom was noisy with road traffic and the bathroom was a bit strange with a kitchen sink and a design that didn't quite work

Miserable check in lady that was busy doing something else whilst she checked me in always puts my back up...it's simple hello welcome to BW etc etc Also why is the bathroom basin a kitchen sink?

    Fabulous

No fuss, quiet and roomy room that was very clean. Away from the pub section of the property which gave us a very quiet evening....much needed after a full day travelling and sight-seeing.

Hotel cuisine seemed to be quite expensive but the town had many alternatives, including a number of bakeries (best pies in Western Australia) and fresh Marin, with a number of wineries close by.

    Good

    Good location

Bedding not comfortable. Airconditioner was very noisy and kept me awake. Tried the ceiling fan and that was very noisy too, so opened the sliding door for fresh air but had to close it due to loud trucks driving past.

    Very good

Centrally located this hotel was easy to find. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room had two single beds. The wheels on my bed were not locked and the bed, like a supermarket trolley, had a mind of its own, moving around the room at will. Also the mattress hadn't been set on the bed properly so the edge felt soft. When I first went to stand up the matress tilted down and I was spilled onto the floor. I sorted the mattress out but, overnight, it seemed to have moved again. This could be risky for someone a little shaky / infirm. The hotel is the "only show in town", unless you want a curry or a fish supper carry out. Because of this the restaurant / bar was very busy and the food service was poor. There were four in our party and two of our starters didn't turn up. I had to go and enquire, seems they had lost / forgotten part of our order. Then we had to wait for nearly an hour before the mains were delivered. The quality of the food was poor, probably the worst we have had in WA. Over cooked, bland and seafood batters heavy, way too thick. My wife complained to a waitress that someone was smoking despite signs clearly stating that was not allowed. The waitress ignored my wife who was left to confront the offender. Generally, the rest of the waiting staff were friendly but overwhelmed. After a long days travelling, this was not a fitting end.

Friendly staff and good restaurant. Great local atmosphere.

Room was a bit tired and out-dated.

Nice room. good bed. Good value meals in restaurant

Shower drained to a drain outside shower cubicle. Whole bathroom floor ended up wet. Poor design.

Being able to access dining facilities by just walking a few steps from our room!

    All good.

    Very good

Room was clean and comfy. Good lication. No noise from pub.

On arrival the area at reception had an unpleasant odour and very tired looking. Made me worry re room but as said above that was good.

  • 7.4
    Very good

Location layout promptness of service nice bedroom and comfy bed and pillows

Bathroom design is substandard in design in that shower water spills out all over bathroom floor thus creating a wet and slippery floor. Toilet roll position was also in a position which causes one to almost dislocate shoulder to simply reach the roll.

    Fabulous

Location was great, beds fairly comfortable, room & bathroom was very clean. Very happy we had a ground floor room.

Could have done with a microwave & the fridge has a slight smell but in all no dramas - we managed.

    Good

Good for overnighter. Rooms seem well soundproof except from upstairs movement.Rooms are in decent shape.Very comfortable beds and linens. Restaurant food was typical but plentiful.

Staff are very casual ; I don't want to hear internal politics/comments when I am at the front desk. Bathrooms need serious updating . Salad bar selection in the restaurant is from the 1980's.; there is amazing local food sources available; they need to ramp it up.

    Fabulous

The room was a little dated but it had a pleasant outlook and was very comfortable. The dining room and reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. They were very generous at the breakfast buffet. The food at night and at breakfast was fantastic. We would stay there again.

We had requested a ground floor room but were given one up a steep flight of stairs. We had to leave at 5am and found the exit from the building locked. Fortunately there was another exit across the carpark. We had told them we were leaving early when we finalised the bill the night before. It would have been helpful to have had our means of exiting the building explained at that time. Nevertheless that turned out to be a minor inconvenience.
